Position Overview

Manage and support projects and validations for all aspects of the MicroVention Manufacturing Engineering team. Anticipate problems proactively and stop them from becoming an issue and streamline and stabilize the process. Job duties:
  • Support and lead teams in the transfer of medical device manufacturing between sites, including writing or verifying specifications, maintaining production process, designing fixtures and validating processes & equipment.
  • Integrate activities between departments to solve problems associated with sustaining product, which include improvements to existing processes and tooling/ equipment, and new technology.
  • Prepare and guide the team to use and implement Lean, Six Sigma and 5s methodologies.
  • Lead and develop direct reports.
  • Provide input to quarterly Management Review.
  • Develop interns, engineers, and technicians.
  • Develop and manage a high-performance team focused on reaching challenging goals in the established date.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    1. BS degree in related field.
    2. 5-7 years related medical industry experience is a must.
    3. Good communication skills in English and Spanish.
    4. Project management skills.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Reading and preparing technical documentation.
    2. Working knowledge of standard machine shop equipment and processes.
    3. Knowledge of medical and technical development.
    4. Computer skills including Word, Excel, statistical software, Solid Works.
    5. Background in Lean/Six Sigma techniques.
    6. Proven history to manage multiple projects and multiple teams.
