Position Overview

Responsible for managing and coordinating activities related to production of company products by supervising staff, organizing and monitoring workflow, and enforcing “Good Manufacturing Practices.” Utilize knowledge of product technology, production methods and procedures, and capabilities of machines and equipment. Job duties:
  • Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods, implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization/industry standards.
  • Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of equipment/resources and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending actions.
  • Consult with Engineering and Management personnel as needed for problem resolution.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    1. HS graduate or equivalent required.
    2. A minimum of six (6) years of professional experience in medical device environments or similar field.
    3. A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory or management experience/responsibility or technical line support.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. College degree or equivalent a plus.
    2. Ability to analyze and present data/metrics and propose solutions.
    3. High flexibility to constantly changing company priorities.
    4. Familiarity with lean manufacturing a plus.
